Font - Just wanted to have a professional departure and help out when needed but now because the staff is already short they would rather have me not there and struggle than have me there helping because I'm leaving.

Font - Could it be because I took the raise to stay and then I'm leaving months later after I got a better offer? Shouldn't they be happy for me that I'm trying to better my life? Just making me feel really bad about myself is this normal?

Handwriting - TLDR: boss gave me a raise to not quit. 4 months later I get a better job offer and put in 3 weeks notice, get asked to do 4 by manager. Owner has the manager call me and tell me to leave immediately and not come back during the busiest season.

Font - Phitos 2008 • 2d ● Once I gave 4 weeks notice, and the company did not require notice at all. But I was naive and it wouldn't hurt to transfer knowledge and all that jazz. Said goodbye to everyone, didn't burn any bridges. I then asked my boss at the time (who I thought was super thankful for me being such a nice person) to leave a testimony on LinkedIn, since she always praised my skills during performance reviews. She blocked me. Since then, it's ". you, I'm leaving" ... 4 1.7k ↓

Font - SirCris • 2d Anytime you offer your notice be prepared for that day to be your last. I've always told any new employer that I would like to offer my current employer 2 weeks but I'll let them know if I can start sooner. I've had a few 2 week vacations between jobs and a couple times I started the next day or as soon as they were ready for me. 4211 ...

"You spoke to X on DATE and I was told I was terminated and that DATE was my last day. As COMPANY terminated my employment on DATE please send me information regarding COBRA. Also please confirm when my final paycheck and PTO will be paid out." They may say something like talk to HR. Font - MisScillaneous • 2d Worked at a bakery for a year, full time. I worked OT and holidays every time they came. I busted my butt. We ended up having to relocate to help husband's mom so I gave 3 months notice. Hostile environment from there. "You're leaving anyway" type things, but also very anxious since I am a good worker. I had to call out one day (first time ever) because my husband needed me to drive the 7 hours to bring up tools, paint.,etc since he'd been there 5 days already. I tried

Font - JakobWulfkind • 2d A lot of employers don't let employees work their notice period because they're afraid that an employee with no fear of being fired may sabotage the company on their way out the door -- and that is a thing that can happen, especially if the employee has been mistreated. The good news is that if your start date can't be moved up, you can file for unemployment for the remainder of the notice period and get a paid vacation. Reply 4 79 + ...
